Bill Taylor's Cars - Purple Bug - Duner
Purple Bug - 1979 Convertible Beetle.  Bill acquired this nice 79 superbeetle convertible about 2 years ago. It was stripped, sanded badly and left in a backyard for a year to rust. He spent many bucks as he and friend Richard spent about 9 months putting her slowly back together. image of bills purple bug

 Bill has had three different engines in her and has settled, for now, on a balanced, blueprinted, cammed 1600 dualport with a stock carb. He gets better mileage with this configuration, which is crucial with today's gas prices. Sounds are provided by a 250 watt amp and 10 cd changer...  very nice ride and nice tunes.
