'67 - 1967 VW Standard Beetle - I will say that I’m the
second owner of this car. The
car was in a family, the Uncle was the original owner, and he gave it
to his
niece when she was seventeen. I
purchased it to save it from Ebay. |

My
1967 came with a diary of everything done to the
car from day one. The only thing that is
not original is the paint. I plan to someday repaint it back to its
original
color. We are now heading into the third roll over of the
speedometer.
The motor has been rebuild once, and with
regular service it runs great. I have a minor oil leak, but I don’t
refer to it
as a leak, we are just marking territory. |
I
plan to keep this fine
car for a long time to come. It is my
daily runner and I love to drive it. You
can see me on the highway almost everyday. I
have people flash me the
peace sign
daily. I like to talk about this car
because it’s rare that you come by a car with all that it has and in as
good
shape.
Just a
note of interest: One of the interesting things about this car is
the unique fresh air ducting system it has. Look under the right
front fender. It has a steel duct that gathers fresh air from the
little oval panels on the bottom of the front fenders and pushes it
through fresh air vents about one foot above the floor. Very unusual!!!
