Lady
Red Bug - 1978 VW Convertible of German manufacture. James take
much pride in his bright red beauty with good reason. She is one of the
last of the German made Volkswagen Beetles.
Jim travels to many of California's auto shows. Here you can see his
pride and joy at the Fresh Freeze Car Show in Eureka, CA. This 9/11/04
show was followed by another show a month later at Crescent City on
10/09/04. many Humbug members made the trip to see Lady Red Bug.

Here's
Lady Red Bug at the Crescent City Show. There were four VW cars at this
year's show. Jim's car, another '79 convertible, a Thing and a
shortened pickup. Jim's car sure stands out in a crowd. Pretty car...

image of Lady Red Bug with the beautiful red corsage that Jim gave her
to wear in Eureka's Rhododendron Festival Parade 2005. Jim always
treats her like a lady. Once again, it's easy to see that she always
stands out in a crowd

getting ready for his run at Redwood Sports Car Club's 1/27/07 Auto
Cross races at the Samoa Drag Strip. Boy, did he turn heads.
"He's not gonna race that beautiful gem is he?" More than a half dozen
drivers asked that question, as well as, "What's he got in
there...? Is it some king of 'sleeper' or something?"
After his two laps of glory, Jim said, "People always remember two cars
at the races... the fastest and the slowest... I think I qualify for
one of those!" You Rock Jim!!!
